Text symbols and text art
Everything here is plain text, not pictures. That is the whole point: a symbol, a kaomoji or a divider is made of real characters, so it survives copying, pastes into a username or a bio, and does not arrive as an attachment. We keep 4,876 of them across 226 hand-built sets. Pick the kind you need below.

| Kind | What it is | Works in | Breaks in |
|---|---|---|---|
| Symbols | One Unicode character | Almost everywhere, including usernames | Older fonts show an empty box |
| Kaomoji | Several characters stacked with accent marks | Chat apps, Discord, comments | Fields that strip combining marks |
| Dividers | A long run of repeated characters | Bios and posts with room for a full line | Narrow columns, where they wrap badly |
| Text art | A picture drawn out of characters | Anywhere using a fixed-width font | Proportional fonts, which skew the alignment |
| Font styles | Normal letters swapped for lookalike characters | Bios and display names, for visual effect | Search and screen readers, which cannot read them |
Why a character sometimes shows as an empty box
A box, often called tofu, does not mean the text is broken. It means the font on that device has no drawing for that character, so the system falls back to a placeholder. The character itself copied fine and will usually appear correctly somewhere else. Rarer symbols and the heavier decorative sets are the most affected, which is why the plainer rows above travel better than the ornate ones.
Styled letters are not really letters
The bold and cursive alphabets on our font pages are separate Unicode characters that happen to look like letters. That is what makes them paste into a bio where real formatting is not allowed. It is also why a name written in them cannot be found by search, cannot be sorted sensibly, and is read out character by character by a screen reader. Use them for effect, never for anything that has to be looked up.
Copy-paste text FAQ
What is the difference between text symbols and emojis?
Symbols are plain characters, so they stay the same colour as your text and work in usernames, file names and search. Emojis are rendered as small pictures by each platform, so the same emoji looks different on an iPhone and on Android. If you need something that copies cleanly into any field, pick a symbol.
Why does my text art lose its shape when I paste it?
Multi-line text art is drawn assuming every character is the same width. Most apps use a proportional font where a letter like i is narrower than m, so the lines no longer line up. Paste it somewhere using a fixed-width font, such as a code block in Discord or Slack, and the shape returns.
Do I need an app or an account to use any of this?
No. Every item on these pages is a character sequence already supported by your device, so tapping copies it straight to your clipboard and you paste it like any other text. Nothing is downloaded and nothing is installed.
