Bio Layouts, Copy & Paste

Bio layouts are whole profile templates, not single dividers: three to six lines that stack your name, pronouns, interests and links into a block you fill in. Each one here keeps its line breaks when you copy it, so you paste the full shape and then replace the placeholder words. They are written for the fields people actually decorate, an Instagram or TikTok bio, a Discord About Me, a carrd card or a Tumblr sidebar. Length is the constraint that shapes them. Instagram's Help Center caps the bio at 150 characters, and Discord's About Me is held to 190 according to long-running feature-request threads on Discord's own support forum. So these stay compact, with short labels and open-sided frames that survive phones, proportional fonts and copy and paste.

Why line breaks and spacing sometimes vanish

A layout only works if its line breaks reach the profile intact. The Instagram and Discord apps keep breaks typed or pasted into their own editors, but text routed through some scheduling tools and single-line web forms can arrive as one run-on line, so paste into the official app when you can. Spaces are a separate problem. A web page collapses a run of ordinary spaces into one when it displays text, which is why indents and centred names drift left on browser profiles. The usual workaround is a character the renderer does not treat as a space, such as BRAILLE PATTERN BLANK (U+2800), which the music player layout above uses. Some apps filter that character too, so check the preview before saving.

Picking a layout for each platform

Match the layout to the field. Instagram and TikTok bios are short and read on phones, so the three line stacks with arrows (โคท, โ•ฐโ”ˆโžค) or label marks (โŒ—, โœŽ) leave room for a link line. TikTok's limit is tighter than Instagram's and has changed over the years, so trust the counter in the app over any number quoted online. Discord's About Me sits on a wider profile card, which suits the tree built from โ”Œ โ”œ โ”” and the music player block. Avoid boxes with a right edge on every line: all three apps use proportional fonts, so a right-hand โ”ƒ will not line up once your own words go in. The rounded โ•ญโ•ฎ โ•ฐโ•ฏ frame works because only its top and bottom rules have to match.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will a bio layout fit in Instagram's 150 character limit?

Every template here is well under it before you edit, but your own words count too, and so do spaces and line breaks. Fill in the placeholders inside the app, which stops accepting text at the limit, and if you run out, drop a decorative line before cutting your own text.

Why did my layout turn into one long line?

Something between the copy and the paste stripped the line breaks, usually a tool that treats the bio as a single-line field. Paste straight into the official app's bio editor instead. If a break still disappears, paste one line at a time and press return between them.

Can I use these layouts in a Discord About Me?

Yes. Discord keeps line breaks in the About Me field, and the wider profile card gives multi-line layouts more room than a phone bio. Plan around the 190 character cap users report for that field. Standard Unicode symbols like these display for everyone, with or without Nitro.
