Text Frames, Copy & Paste

A divider sits between lines. A frame wraps around the words themselves, so ใ€Œ your text ใ€ or หšโ‚Šโ€ง๊’ฐแƒ your text เป’๊’ฑ โ€งโ‚Šหš turns a plain name into a label. Every frame on this page fits on a single line, with "your text" as a placeholder you overwrite after pasting. That choice is deliberate: a three-line box only stays square in a fixed-width font, and most bios, captions and display names are set in proportional type, so the right edge drifts. A one-line frame has nothing to line up. The set mixes three families: East Asian brackets such as ใ€Ž ใ€ ใ€ ใ€‘ ใ€– ใ€—, technical corners like โŒœ โŒŸ and โŸฆ โŸง borrowed from logic and math, and soft kaomoji-style wrappers built from ๊’ฐ ๊’ฑ and สš ษž. For full top and bottom box edges, the Corner and Frame set is the companion page.

Where the bracket shapes come from

Few of these characters were made for decoration. ใ€Œ ใ€ (U+300C and U+300D) are the ordinary quotation marks of written Japanese, and ใ€Ž ใ€ are the doubled form used for titles of books and for quotes inside quotes. ใ€ ใ€‘ are the black lenticular brackets Japanese headlines use to tag a topic. ๊’ฐ and ๊’ฑ are Yi radicals, U+A4B0 and U+A4B1, picked up purely for their soft curve, while แƒ is the Georgian letter an and เป’ is the Lao digit two. โŒœ and โŒŸ come from the Miscellaneous Technical block, where logicians use corner marks as quasi-quotation. Because they are real letters and punctuation, they copy as text everywhere.

Why some frames look wider than others

Unicode tags every character with an East Asian Width. The CJK brackets ใ€Œ ใ€ ใ€Ž ใ€ ใ€ ใ€‘ and the Yi radicals ๊’ฐ ๊’ฑ are classed as Wide, so a monospace font gives each one two cells, and most apps also draw them broader than Latin letters. That is why they already carry generous inner space. Box-drawing pieces such as โ•  and โ•ฃ (part of U+2500 to U+257F) are Ambiguous instead: one cell in a Western font, often two in a Chinese or Japanese one. Many web pages collapse repeated spaces into a single gap, so keep exactly one space either side of your word and the frame stays balanced.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make a full three-line box around my text?

You can, but it only holds its shape in a monospaced font such as a Discord code block. In a bio or caption the letters have different widths, so the right edge of the box wanders. That is why every frame here wraps the text on one line, where there is nothing to align.

Do I have to keep the words "your text" inside the frame?

No, it is only a placeholder. Paste the frame, select "your text" and type over it. Keep a single space between your word and each side of the frame, because some apps collapse double spaces and others trim them, which can leave the frame lopsided.

Will ใ€Œ ใ€ and ใ€ ใ€‘ frames work in a Discord or Instagram name?

Display names usually accept them, since they are ordinary punctuation from the CJK Symbols and Punctuation block. Unique handles and usernames are stricter and often allow only letters, numbers, periods and underscores, so put the frame in the display name and keep the handle plain.
